Boys and Girls Club Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

VINELAND - The Boys and Girls Club of Vineland celebrated the last week of October by inviting special visitors to participate in Red Ribbon Week. The Red Ribbon Campaign was organized by the National Family Partnership in response to the murder of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena. The program raises awareness of the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America.
The Drug Enforcement Administration/U.S. Department of Justice visited the club as part of the club’s S.M.A.R.T. Moves program, which is made possible through the Vineland Municipal Alliance. S.M.A.R.T. teaches youth about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, including prescription drugs.
