VIDEO: Unmanned Aircraft System Symposium Discusses Drone LawsPosted:
CAPE MAY COUNTY - The Delaware River and Bay Authority teamed up with Cape May County to host their first Unmanned Aircraft System Symposium this week at the Cape May County Airport.
This symposium included panel discussions, guest speakers that included Congressman Lobiondo, and a Q & A for guests to ask the aviation experts on how drone aircrafts can be integrated into the skies above South Jersey.
"I find it exciting now that both commercial and we can begin to find all the wonderful uses for everything, from first responders, to agriculture, to you know, firefighting. those kinds of society benefits that are available too, so I'm glad to see the pendulum has come back," said Marke Gibson, Senior Advisor, UAS Integration at FAA.
Congressman Lobiondo told us the aviation subcommittee has been pushing the Federal Aviation Administration to move faster when it comes to UAS regulations because drones are growing increasingly more popular for official and personal use.
"It’s a tremendous challenge from a safety aspect and from a personal security aspect, a privacy aspect," said Congressman Frank Lobiondo.
