VIDEO: The Show Will Go On at the Levoy TheatrePosted:
MILLVILLE - The Levoy Theatre in Millville received an anonymous donation that helped save the 107-year-old theatre.
In 2013, the Levoy Theatre was struggling to make payments and received a 2-year grace period from the city. Well that grace period ran out on September 1st and the Levoy still didn't have the money. But thanks to a new fundraising campaign and a mysterious donor, it looks like the show will go on.
"Our capital campaign will enable us the opportunity to continue to bring great programming to the residents of Southern New Jersey in this fantastic space," said Bryan Pitt, Artistic Director. "So, there's ways to donate right online at Levoy.net, you can choose any donation level. And what we've done is we've found some angelic sponsors who have decided to anonymously donate $50,000."
The mystery donor agreed to a matching campaign, which means that they'll match any donation made, up to $50,000. The Levoy still needs your help. That matching campaign will continue until Tuesday, December 1st.
