VIDEO: Health Insurance Changing in New JerseyPosted:
MILLVILLE - Those who are covered by the federal government's health insurance exchange will have to start paying more in 2016.
The premium for a mid-level plan will go up by 5%. Premiums will be lower for people choosing a new plan, but that plan has been receiving scrutiny from lawmakers.
In New Jersey, officials are asking questions about Horizon Blue Cross-Blue Shield coverage, which steers patients toward particular hospitals and the other hospitals aren't happy about it.
Premiums for those plans are lower than Horizon's other traditional plans with similar deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. Lawmakers are still trying to determine whether the new plan is fair.
Customers can begin making selections starting on Sunday.
