Egg Harbor Township Police Department Support No Shave November

Posted:
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - The Egg Harbor Township Police Department will grow beards during the month of November to stand up in the fight against cancer.
The aim of the fundraiser is to donate money that is usually spent on grooming for a month to educate about cancer prevention, saving lives, and aiding those fighting cancer. The Departments Chief, Raymond Davis, waived the departments shaving policy for the month in support of the fundraiser, which raised $3,300 in 2014.
No Shave November is being coordinated for the Department by Sergeant Gary Rzemyk. Officers who participate in the program will refrain from shaving during the entire month in order to embrace their hair, which many cancer patients lose. 100% of all donations go directly to the Cancer Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
