VIDEO: New Jersey Girl Calls Police After Touching Elf on Shelf

OLD BRIDGE - Surely, you've heard of the Elf on the Shelf — the little guy (or girl) who stays with families for the month of December each year and reports back to Santa on how well-behaved the children in the house have been.
Children know that if you touch the elf, he loses his magic.
Isabella, a young girl from Old Bridge, accidentally touched her Elf on the Shelf in the days leading up to the upcoming Christmas holiday and panicked.
She didn't have Santa's number, so she called the local police department instead.
When police came to her house, they found the young girl in tears. The police then assured her that her elf still had his magic, and cleared everything up.
This is what the police radioed back to headquarters:
"Isabella apologized. She touched the Elf on a Shelf. She won't call 911 again."
