Two Millville Students Win Poetry Competition

MILLVILLE - The American Chemical Society celebrates Mole Day October 23 each year to commemorate Avogadro's number (6.02x10^23), which is a basic measuring unit in Chemistry named after Amedeo Avogadro (1776-1856).
This year an illustrated poetry competition with the theme "Chemistry Colors Our World!" was held.
Two Millville Senior High School students won prizes from the local ACS section for their entries.
Christianna Zimmerman received second-place and David Crain received third-place awards, respectively, for the 2015 contest.

Mole Day typically falls during National Chemistry Week, which is an annual event uniting American Chemical Society Local Sections, businesses, schools, and individuals in communicating the importance of chemistry in everyday life.
