VIDEO: Wildwood Man Helping Santa Deliver Toys

WILDWOOD - John Lynch, Founder of "The Lynch Who Took Christmas from the GrYnch" is collecting and distributing toys to Wildwood children on Christmas Eve.
“When I, you know, realized, we had children out there that were not getting any gifts at all, that's when we decided that we wanted to help and make a change, and we did that the very first year, seven years ago,” said Lynch.
Over 600 good boys and girls will be hula-hooping, riding a new bike, or playing with a new toy on Christmas Eve, thanks to one of Santa’s very special helpers. He’s been collecting toys like this for the past month, and will be helping the big guy out next week by delivering them all throughout Wildwood.
“Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, we delivered to 275 families, over 600 kids, and we represented as you see behind me, about 2500 toys,” said Lynch.
Lynch has toy collections happening all over Wildwood. Next week, his volunteers will be wrapping the hundreds of presents and personally delivering bags of gifts to families on Christmas Eve.
“We make sure that the families know that Santa has asked us to help them with the delivery process," said Lynch. "The most rewarding thing is when the door shuts and the excitement you hear on the other side of the door, it gives you chills, I mean it’s just so awesome.”
His organization has inspired others within the community to give a little extra this Christmas season. The Greater Wildwood Jaycees have decided to team up with Lynch and provide presents for local elders.
“There’s so many shut-ins and they don’t get anything for Christmas," said Jodie DiEduardo, Senior VP Crest Savings Bank. "So we have taken 400 seniors and we have gifts for them this year.”
