Vineland High School All Sports Booster Club Recognizes Hall of Fame Recipient

VINELAND – The Vineland High School All Sports Booster Club presented a special plaque at the conclusion of their Hall of Fame recognition dinner.
F. John Sbrana was the recipient of the plaque and will be retiring as the district’s Executive Director of Communications after 21 years of service on Thursday, December 31st. The event, which reached 100 honorees during its run, honors former athletes who graduated from VHS at least ten years ago. Sbrana launched his career with the Vineland Times Journal during the 1970s, covering over 60 Fighting Clan football games prior to his move to the news department where he was eventually promoted to Managing Editor for the company’s daily newspapers in Vineland and Millville.
"I am very thankful and honored that the All Sports Booster Club asked me to make this presentation," said Dr. Thomas McCann, VHS Principal. "It's about someone who has always been on the other side of the camera when awards like this were presented to people who have received them over the years. Not only from the Booster Club but from all the organizations associated with the Vineland school district."
Sbrana’s career with VHS football included an overall 150 games as well as 17 consecutive Thanksgiving games.
“I consider it a great honor and privilege to share the stage tonight with such revered athletes as the ones elected to the All Sports Booster Club's Hall of Fame,” said Sbrana. “I am grateful to the club for this recognition of my 20-year career as the district's coordinator and now Director of Communications. It is a special joy that I am able to share this moment with my family, who I love so much.”
