VIDEO: Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno Attends Rock Your Socks Event

CHERRY HILL - Students gathered in the auditorium at Cherry Hill High School West to welcome Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno and the “Rock Your Socks” campaign.
The campaign challenged three local high schools to a friendly competition of who can collect the most socks to raise awareness for homeless youth in New Jersey. All of the socks collected will be donated to the Covenant House.
“I think it’s one person at a time," said Guadagno. "Whoever gives these socks will have a new found appreciation for the roof over their head and the need to help others who have less than they do. And the Covenant House will be able to help thousands of kids otherwise they wouldn’t be able to help.”
Students are encouraged to tweet their unique socks to help spread awareness of the campaign.
The “Rock Your Socks” campaign is a part of the Christie administration’s “Season of Service” program.
