VIDEO: South Jersey Residents Respond To A Warm December

ATLANTIC COUNTY - It looks and sounds like the holiday season, but at Smithville Village the temperatures are quickly approaching the 60s and the sun shining through.
Many enjoyed walking along the village today getting some holiday shopping done and some even did it in shorts.
“It’s strange," said Victoria Wilkinson, Seaside Park. "I’m enjoying it, it’s fun to be outside without a coat and a hat in December. But it’s definitely a little weird. Kind of makes me wonder about climate change and what’s happening with the environment.”
The ladies at Sublime Hair Boutique say the nicer weather brings in more customers.
“Oh my god, I love it," said Devan Thatcher, Hair Stylist at Sublime Hair Boutique. "It’s so much easier. It brings business in, it’s wonderful and it’s just much more enjoyable than six degrees in December.”
Vinnie Citarella and his friends are in town for a hunting trip and they’re loving the warm winter weather.
“I love the weather I can keep my hair short," said Citarella. "It’s great we’re outside enjoying Smithville, where we are today, walking around to the shops it’s great.”
Even those enjoying the nice weather are dreaming of a blanket of the white stuff.
“Yeah I’d like Santa to have something to slide in on his sleigh,” said Wilkinson.
