VIDEO: Vineland Woman Brings Together Community to Help Local Family

VINELAND - A Vineland woman is bringing the community together to help a local family.
“Thank you very much, God Bless you,” said Robin Hope, Owner of Robin Hope’s Designs. “Wow, this has been all morning. I can’t get over how wonderful people are.”
This was one of many phone calls Hope has received since last night, when she posted on Facebook she wanted to help a family who was forced to leave their home after a fire caused serious damages.
“It just became something I had to do," said Hope. "Now I’m crazy about this whole thing. I can’t believe the response, it’s been overwhelming.”
Hope, who has five adopted children of her own, is collecting everyday materials and a few Christmas presents for the family. People have been stopping by her store on Landis Avenue all day to drop off cash, clothing, toys, and more to donate while the family is in a temporary housing.
“First thing I did was go buy a gift card, so they could go shopping, and then I went shopping this morning and bought some blankets, donated some boots, winter is coming, some personal items, and just spreading the word for Robin,” said Linda Eisenberg, Bridgeton.
With help from the American Red Cross, Hope was able to come into contact with the family and began to collect materials. She was then quickly overwhelmed by the support from the community.
“It’s the season for giving and also it’s a season where people spend a lot of money, and maybe don’t have a lot of extra, and I’m just overwhelmed that they’re finding that extra to give to people,” said Eisenberg.
