Boys and Girls Club of Vineland Take a Stand Against Bullying

VINELAND – Members of the Boys and Girls Club of Vineland took a stand against bullying.
The stand was taken as part of the organization’s Take a Stand Against Bullying Pledge and is supported by the Cumberland County Department of Human Services and United Way.
The pledge took place during the Club’s Power Hour/Project Learn program. The program emphasizes the importance of academic achievement of youth while engaging them in fun-filled and academically beneficial programs.
Members took a pledge to treat others with respect and kindness, have the compassion not to be a bully, and the courage not to be a bystander, and to be responsible to report bullying if they witness it. Prior to taking the pledge, members crumbled up the pledge and were asked to smooth it back out again to demonstrate the irreparable damage caused by bullying.
