Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center Celebrated the Annual Tree of Lights Illumination Ceremony
SOMERS POINT – The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center celebrated the start of the holiday season with a special tradition. The annual illumination of its Tree of Lights took place on Wednesday, December 5th in the Ben and Flora Baker Surgical Pavilion Lobby. Each year, members of the community are invited to participate in the event by making a Memorial or Honorary donation to commemorate special people in their lives. Staff and volunteers of the Auxiliary's Somers Point and Marmora thrift shops were recognized at the event for their efforts that contributed more than $1.2 million toward the Auxiliary's annual donation to the hospital over the past five years. Proceeds from the event reached $5,000 and will benefit Cancer programs at Shore Medical Center. For more information about the Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center, call 609.653.4646.
