Beth Israel Congregation Initiates Sundays at the Synagogue Program Series

VINELAND – The Beth Israel Congregation will initiate its “Sundays at the Synagogue” program series with a special guest from the Vineland Police Department.
Chaplain Jason Scalzi will discuss his recent trip to Israel at the synagogue on Sunday, December 20th at 3:00 p.m. Scalzi visited Israel for ten days along with 15 people from South Jersey and Philadelphia areas, visiting both historical and modern sites.
Scalzi is a Chaplain Liaison with the Vineland Police Department, an officer, a member of the Community Policing Unit, an Executive Member of the Vineland Positive Youth Development Coalition, as well as a serving ministerial staff member at Chestnut Assembly of God in Vineland.
“It was truly a memorable and awe-inspiring experience to view in person the sites where various biblical events happened as well as see the modern country that Israel is today,” said Scalzi.
The synagogue is located on 1015 East Park Avenue and refreshment will be served at the event. Reservations must be made no later than Thursday, December 17th by calling the Jewish Federation office at 856.696.4445.
