WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Allison Schlupp, Special Education Teacher at Birches Elementary School, has been granted a prestigious honor by the University of Pennsylvania. She has been accepted into the University’s 37th Annual Ethnography in Education Research Forum which will run from Friday, February 26th to Saturday, February 27th, 2016 in Philadelphia.

Schlupp’s presentation, “How Literacies and the Use of Technology Can Transform Language Arts Instruction,” contests the idea that second graders are too young to study technology.

“Technology in education is always something I have been passionate about,” said Allison Schlupp, special education teacher. “Seeing what second graders can achieve in such a short time really opened my eyes to the possibilities for all elementary students!”
