VIDEO: PrimoCares Donates Over $25,000 in Gifts to Local Children's Charity

WESTVILLE - The owners of Primos Hoagies, and its over 90 franchise locations, have come together with PrimoCares to give thousands of children a merry Christmas.
Members of PrimoCares decided they wanted to do something to give back to the needy kids in the area. So they asked for help from its over 90 locations.
“They had the cash registers that allowed you to round up when you buy your hoagies so the customers would come in and basically say sure keep the change," said Charlie Doud, Board Member for PrimoCares. "And that change adds up. And of course, donations were taken at the counter.”
The donations totaled over $25,000 and all were put towards creating these bags full of gifts for the Delaware Valley Children’s Charity to make over 6,000 children’s Christmas a special one.
“Toys and basketballs and a whole lot of bikes which really please the child to no end," said Doud. "But really there’s no definition on what’s in each bag because it’s really what the child wanted or we tried to get what they wanted.”
This is only the second event for PrimoCares, but it’s one they expect to continue.
“The charity and the generosity of the people is incredible," said Doud. "The upside potential is huge. The entire Primo’s organization is behind this. This year is our inaugural year, we got off the ground running. Next year and years after that it’s really going to grow.”
