With winter weather behind us, it’s time to get out to upcoming events in Downtown Vineland.
With temperatures outside more like May than March—and with Daylight Savings Time back—it’s time to get over that cabin fever. We’re doing that in downtown Vineland over the next month with some events in which we’re rolling out the red carpet.
We’ll be rolling out the red carpet for the Easter Bunny for our Fourth Friday event on March 25. Come to Landis MarketPlace, 631 E. Landis Avenue, and starting at 6 p.m., get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Kids and grown-ups alike won’t want to miss this opportunity. At 7 p.m., there will be an old-fashioned Easter Egg Hunt—with even more family fun planned. Why not make an evening of it and have dinner in one of our downtown restaurants before the Easter fun!? So, make downtown Vineland part of your holiday weekend plans.
Next, we’ll be rolling out the red carpet for real estate brokers on Wednesday, April 6, for our second annual broker tour. Last year’s broker tour was a great success and we were able to rent a number of vacant downtown properties. We plan to do the same this year. Like last year, the participating brokers will all meet at the Main Street Vineland office, 603 E. Landis Ave., at 12 noon for a brief overview of Main Street Vineland—the vision for the downtown and the incentives that can be offered.
The tour will follow, as the brokers will be shuttled to each property. Property owners will have fact-sheets ready for the brokers and agents at the time of the visit. Interested brokers  will need to contact the Main Street Vineland office by calling 856-794-8653 or e-mailing More information on this will be coming shortly.
The following evening—Thursday, April 7—we’ll be rolling out the red carpet for our downtown business owners at our next Downtown Merchants Meet-and-Greet. Century Savings Bank, at 1005 E. Landis Ave., will be hosting the meet-and-greet this time. From 5:30 to 7 p.m., this will be a great opportunity for representatives from various downtown businesses to come together and network—to get to know each other and Main Street Vineland representatives. These meet-and-greets are held every other month on the third Thursday.
We’ll round out April by rolling out the red carpet in grand style on Wednesday, April 27, for Main Street representatives from throughout the state. It’ll be our honor to host the Main Street New Jersey Downtown Institute on “Creating, Branding, and Promoting Local and Regional Destinations.” The facilitator will be authority in the field, Roger Brooks, one of the world’s premier destination creation experts. I’ll all be at Grant Plaza, 619 E. Landis Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What’s more, we’re making it free for you, thanks in part to sponsorship from Century Savings Bank. Just go to the link on the home page of our Main Street Vineland website—www.mainstreet—and reserve your spot. We’re also expecting representatives from our area Chambers of Commerce and many others, so this is going to be really big.
I’ll have even more happenings for you in future columns, so stay tuned.
Make downtown Vineland your destination for your shopping needs, as well as for fun all year round. Save money on gasoline, avoid the long lines at the big-box stores, malls, and shopping centers—and also enjoy the events we have in town.
