VIDEO: Drone Demonstrations Held at Atlantic Cape Community College

MAYS LANDING - Mays Landing Law Enforcement Officials from all around the Tri-State area came together with drone pilots at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology, to discover how drones can be used to document and reconstruct an accident scene.
Atlantic Cape Community College will demonstrate how to document and reconstruct an accident scene using an unmanned aerial system. This demonstration is intended for law enforcement personnel, and 10 law enforcement agencies will attend, including representatives from the Maryland State Police, New Jersey State Police, Delaware River Bay Authority, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Somerset County Police.
"Everybody that's here today is focused on documenting and reconstruction fatal accident scenes but the application would be for search and rescue for surveillance, just to get an overlook or an eye in the sky during police operations," said James Taggart, Atlantic Community College Professor.
The Law Enforcement Officials had witnessed a drone demonstration by Atlantic Cape Community College's aviation professors.
Taggart says that by using drones, Police would be able to drastically cut down the time that a roadway is closed due to an accident.
