VIDEO : Authorities Warn Residents of Large Snake

NEW JERSEY - Police were called Tuesday night in regards to a large snake on the 200 block of East Jefferson Street.
After Police arrived at the scene, Animal Control was contacted—but they were unable to capture the snake in time, before escaping into a hole in the ground. The large snake was on a resident’s porch.
Authorities say the snake is about 10 to 12 feet long and weighs around 60 pounds--believed to be a boa constrictor. Boas are not poisonous but can injure or kill small animals.
The snake is reportedly the pet of a local resident and had been missing for days.
Police are warning residents in the community to be cautious when letting your pets outside and to call 911 if you see the snake.
