VIDEO : New Jersey Police Department Has Graduation Ceremony
CHERRY HILL - On Tuesday, Cherry Hill sworn in 12 new Police Officers at the department's graduation ceremony. The 12 new officers joined more than 140 men and women in blue within the department. The township's mayor, who says the police department strives to model services that partner with its community. "The message is that we're here to protect all of the residents and the businesses of Cherry Hill. We want to invest in our police department and there's no better way to do that than hiring great men and women that is the future of Cherry Hill," said Mayor Chuck Cahn. The mayor also added that this is one of the largest groups ever to be hired, and hopes they will protect and respect the community for many years to come.
