VIDEO: Environmental Groups Clashing Over Power Plant Proposal

NEW JERSEY - Environmental groups and state environmental officials are battling over proposed changes at the B.L. England Generating Station's power plant.
The groups are clashing over a recent decision to issue a permit allowing the electric generation plant to convert from coal-fired to gas-fired.
The activist groups say that the permit for the Cape May County plant will produce more harmful greenhouse gasses.
Officials with the State Department of Environmental Protection say that the change will make the 54-year-old plant more modern and efficient.
They believe that the new plant in Upper Township will reduce air pollution after decades of the plant burning coal, oil, and rubber tires.
Two environmental groups are suing the state to block the conversion.
