VIDEO: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Building a Brighter Future for Public Housing Residents
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is continuing to build a brighter future for public housing residents. On Monday, HUD awarded Pleasantville Public Housing Authority $246,000 dollars to benefit helping their residents find jobs and educational opportunities. In total HUD awarded $36 million dollars in grants to public housing authorities and non-profit organizations nationwide. The funding will go towards organizations that work directly with residents who link them with the proper education and job training services in their communities.
