VIDEO: Volunteers Build Community Garden at Cumberland County Library

Volunteers and staff at a local library are building a strong foundation for a future partnership by building a garden.
The staff at the Cumberland County Library wanted to build an outdoor space for community members to enjoy.
Without the budget, the library looked to other resources like the Lowes’ Hero Project.
Through the organization, 18 volunteers came out to build the "Lowes Community Garden."
There were so many people that wanted to work on it that they couldn't manage all the schedules so that they could get as many people as wanted to come here and work on this," said Cumberland County Library Director Myron Estelle. So, i really think that says something about the library's worth to the community."
The Cumberland County Library serves 14 municipalities, and the hard work put into the new garden will give everyone in the community yet another chance to enjoy the outdoors.
