VIDEO: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign Kicks Off This Friday
Police departments are putting out a drive sober or get pulled over warning throughout South Jersey as they gear up for the busy labor day weekend, which is a little more than two weeks away. The National Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign kicks off Friday, August 19th, and police departments in South Jersey are getting ready to conduct multiple sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols all in an effort to get motorists who may be under the influence off the roads. The campaign uses holiday periods to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. Law enforcement offers the following advice to enjoy the end of summer without facing charges for driving while impaired. If you plan to drink - use a designated driver, take mass transit, a taxi, or a ride sharing service like Uber and don't forget to always buckle up.
