A church, community, and the New Jersey State Police are coming together for their "Back to School Bash". 225 book bags and 2,000 notebooks and pens are just some of the school items that were given out during the event. Last year more than 300 people attended and the event organizers before are hoping that they see an even bigger turnout this year. The event will be the third year for this collaborative effort put on by volunteers with Soar Church, the state police, and the Woodbine Fire Department. "Hair Cuttery" out of Rio Grande also gave out free haircuts to help kids make a great impression on their first day of class.
