Governor Christie Announces Reimbursements to Superstorm Sandy-Affected Towns
TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) — Governor Chris Christie has announced that towns devastated by Superstorm Sandy will be able to apply for reimbursement of funds they spent immediately after the storm. Christie said Friday at the East Dover Fire Company in Toms River that towns in nine New Jersey counties could apply to get a share of $42 million in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds. Towns can begin applying for reimbursement this Monday, August 29th through the Department of Community Affairs. The deadline for application is October 18th, 2016.
