VIDEO: Sea Turtle Rescued Near Nuclear Power Plant
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center has once again come to the rescue, this time with a 140 pound female sea turtle. The loggerhead sea turtle was discovered near the Oyster Creek Nuclear Plant by a plant worker Thursday. Stranding center officials say her wounds indicate she may have been hit by a boat and add that her rear flippers may be paralyzed. If that is the case, they will have to find her a home at a zoo or aquarium. Anyone who spots a marine mammal in trouble should reach out to the center by calling 609-266-0538.
