Video: Animal Control Officer Issues Dog Warning

A Bridgeton animal control officer is warning residents to keep an eye on their dogs as there is currently an outbreak of a potentially deadly disease.
The animal control office says there is an area outbreak of the canine parvovirus, a highly contagious viral disease.
Experts say the virus comes on quickly and symptoms include lethargy, severe vomiting, loss of appetite and bloody diarrhea.
Officials say to report stray animals immediately to the Bridgeton police animal control.
Pet owners are also being told to check with their veterinarian to make sure their pet's "parvo" vaccines are up to date.
