Video: Millville Airport to Receive Federal Funding for Improvements
MILLVILLE, N.J – More than $1 million in federal funding for improvements at the Millville airport, is expected to help South Jersey businesses take off. US Congressman Frank Lobiondo announced today that more than $1,084,000 in funds from the Delaware River and Bay Authority will go towards the acquisition of land for additional development at the Millville Municipal Airport. Congressman Lobiondo, who serves as the chairman of the house aviation subcommittee, adds that the key strategy to bringing in additional economic opportunities into South Jersey lies with the growth of local airports. The funding will be used to obtain more than 11 acres adjacent to the airfield, which will adjoin land located on the North side of Taxiway G. Since 2004, Millville airport has received more than $18.4 million in federal funds for improvement projects.
