Video: Millville Army Air Field Museum Invites World War II Veterans to Share Stories
MILLVILLE, N.J. – The Millville Army Air Field Museum invited World War II veterans to the airport to share their stories and welcome the Wings of Freedom Tour. This special tour has been traveling around the country with a collection of historic fighter planes and made its first stop in South Jersey at the Millville airport. The Millville Army Air Field Museum hosted a group of World War II veterans today for a special ceremony Thursday to honor their courage and welcome some rare warbirds into town. “World War II veterans obviously are in their 90s and to capture this history and to see living history come alive here at the museum is priceless,” said Lisa Jester, Executive Director of the Millville Army Air Field Museum. The public can check out the tour which includes aircraft like the B-17, the B-24, the B-25, and the P-51 Mustang at the Millville airport on September 2nd. Those unable to make it can also attend the Wings of Freedom Tour at the Cape May airport when it will participate in Airfest from September 2nd to the 5th.
