Video: Long Delays on Delaware Memorial Bridge Due to Lane Closures

PENNSVILLE, N.J. – Commuters and area residents who rely on the the Delaware Memorial Bridge experienced delays on Wednesday thanks to construction work taking place to strengthen the integrity and safety of the bridge that sees an average of almost 90,000 vehicles crossing its span each day.
Two lanes heading into Delaware had to be closed down due to work being done to replace suspender ropes, however, two lanes remained open to help ease congestion on the span that links New Jersey with Delaware.
Construction occurred from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. when all lanes were fully reopened to all traffic.
