Video: Rowan Universty Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Residence Hall
GLASSBORO, N.J. – Rowan University officials and students celebrated the ceremonial opening of a new residence hall. On Wednesday, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to officially dedicate the Holly Pointe Commons as the new underclassman residence hall on the university's main campus. "We already have nicknames for the buildings. So, we have the Curved Side, obviously for the hook-shape, and the Tower Side for the seven-story side. So, it actually even gives a little more pride to the sides of the building and just because of how its laid out. I like the modernistic look inside, it gives it a little more future kind of taste for the students," said Student Government Association President Daniel Cardona Two trees were left untouched during the building process, and those that had to be cut down during construction were refurbished into benches.
