Video: Atlantic City Ironman Race to Have Over 2,800 Athletes Compete


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – On Sunday, more than 2,800 athletes from all around the world will be descending on Atlantic City for the inaugural Ironman 70.3.
The athletes competing are representing 17 countries and 42 states and range in age from 18 to 77.
Athletes will start at 6:50 a.m. with a 1.2 mile swim in the back bays. Then there's the 56-mile bike ride through Atlantic County with a portion of the track on the Atlantic City Expressway. Wrapping up the race is the 13.1-mile run on Atlantic City's boardwalk.
Racers are expected to cross the finish line around 4:30 p.m.
