Video: Atlantic City Cop Injured in Shooting Released From Hospital

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J – The Atlantic City Police Department received good news on Thursday as Officer Joshlee Vadell was released from the hospital nearly two weeks after he was shot and wounded during a robbery.
Police officers, doctors, family, and friends lined up outside as Vadell was released to be taken to continue his recovery at a rehabilitation center. As he was being transported out, he gave a thumbs up to the cheering crowd.
Vadell underwent surgery after being critically hurt in the September 3rd shooting. According to his surgeon, the Atlantic City police officer has come a long way very quickly.
Authorities say Vadell and another officer saw the robbery being committed at a casino garage and Vadell was shot while exiting his vehicle. A second officer returned fire and killed one suspect, two others remain in jail.
A GoFundMe page started in support of Vadell and his family has now raised more than $100,000.
