Video: National Patrol Dog Trials Begins Next Week in Gloucester Township
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. –The United States Police Canine Association's National Patrol Dog Trials begin next week, and they will be taking place in South Jersey. The Gloucester Township Police Department will be hosting this year's tournament where the dogs will compete in different areas of obedience, agility, suspect search, and apprehending a criminal - both with and without gunfire. “Keep in mind, these are the best teams throughout the nation. They’ve already gone through their qualifying rounds, and now they’re the top in their region to compete in the national level," said Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer. The mayor also explained that the week-long competition includes police departments all across the nation.
