Video: Local Food Bank Celebrates Rural Health Week
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Officials at a local community food bank are celebrating Rural Health Week to help promote greater access to basic necessities like food, water, and quality health care. In Egg Harbor Township, members of the Atlantic County Health Department were guests during the event on Tuesday hosted by the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Those in attendance were also able to learn more about how to take advantage of educational services and find assistance with health care programs. "Our clients who are struggling with keeping food on the table have many, many other things they're also dealing with. We can only eliminate the food need at this time, but if we can connect them to everything else under the sun that helps them, we do it," said Richard Uniacke, Vice President of the Community Foodbank of New Jersey.
