Video: 12th Annual Difference Makers Luncheon Held in Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Local leaders and members of the community came together for a great cause on Friday in Atlantic City, all with one goal in my mind - to make a difference. The 12th annual Difference Makers Luncheon was held at the Palm Restaurant this afternoon to help support the programs and services provided for free by Gilda's Club of South Jersey. The event aims to make a difference in the lives of those living with cancer as well as their families and friends. "The mission of Gilda's Club is to provide social-emotional support for individuals living with cancer. It's one of our key fundraisers because the Gilda's Club program is free of charge. We sustain ourselves through events and fundraising," said Sarah Griffith, the interim CEO of Gilda's Club of South Jersey. Those in attendance were treated to some of the Palm's specialty dishes, all donated for the event, and had the chance to win big with a number of fundraising raffles. The luncheon is one of Gilda's Club's biggest fundraisers of the year.
