ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Former reality show contestant, Mimi Imfurst, took home the Miss'd aAmerica 2017 crown on Saturday night at the drag pageant hosted by Carson Kressly at the Borgata. The Miss’d America pageant began in 1991, following that year's Miss America pageant in Atlantic City. Imfurst wowed the crowd with a song from the "Rocky Horror Picture Show." I was gonna do something else and then at the last minute kinda changed my mind and I put the number together. Rocky Horror has always meant something to me personally and culturally," said Imfurst. The show is put on each year by the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance. "Drag is about comedy, it's about glamor, it's about having fun, its a celebration and i love all those aspects of this evening," said Kressly. Proceeds from the show benefit local LGBT organizations.
