Video: South Jersey Local and Distinguished State Policeman Set to Retire on Birthday


WEST TRENTON, N.J. – After serving with the New Jersey State Police for more than two decades, Capt. Steven Jones, the head of the Public Information Unit, is set to retire on Friday, September 30th.
Jones, a Gloucester County resident, will reach the mandatory retirement age of 55 on Friday. He joined the state police in 1995 as a patrol officer for the Port Norris barracks, located in Cumberland County, before receiving the public information assignment in 2002.
Jones worked with the state police for 21 years.
