Video: The ACIA Helps Finance Stockton's New Atlantic City Campus
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic County Improvement Authority (ACIA) is helping to finance the construction of Stockton University's new Atlantic City Campus. The ACIA has sold $128 million in revenue bonds to help finance the development of the city campus. According to the county, Stockton has guaranteed reimbursement in the event of a shortfall so taxpayers are not at risk. Work has already begun at the site of the new campus, which is being built in the city's Chelsea section as a part of the $210 million gateway project. The project is expected to bring in as much as $1.5 million a year in property taxes alone and bolster the Atlantic City economy.
