Video: Ocean City Hosts 6th Annual John R. Elliott Hero Walk

OCEAN CITY, N.J. – The 6th annual John R. Elliott Hero Walk kicks off Sunday morning starting at 9 a.m. on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
The hero campaign was started by the Egg Harbor Township family of Navy ensign John Elliott who was killed in an accident with a drunk driver back in July of 2000. Proceeds from the yearly walk benefit the hero campaign which urges members to "Be a hero, be a designated driver."
Since it's beginning, the Hero Campaign has grown from a local cause into a national movement that has been adopted by seven states. Check-in time begins at 9 a.m. and the event will officially begin at 11 a.m. You can visit their website for more information about the walk or the Hero Campaign.
