Video: South Jersey Gas Customers Can Expect Lower Cost Due to Recent Legislature
NEW JERSEY – Starting on Saturday, South Jersey Gas customers may begin saving on their monthly bills. South Jersey Gas received approval from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for an overall reduction rate beginning October 1st. The approval will allow many residential customers to see an average annual savings of about $23.17. The approximate 2.4 percent of savings is driven by the unlocking of large natural gas supplies resulting in lower rates. The gas company also received approvals to change its Conservation Incentive Program rate and base rates. The two changes will continue to encourage customers to reduce natural gas consumption and will allow the company to invest in infrastructure upgrades along coastal communities to protect against major storms in the future.
