Video: Several Days of Rain Brings Coastal Flooding to Shore Towns

AVALON, N.J. – After 5 days of off and on rain, many residents in South Jersey are ready to see the sun again.
Despite the rain being needed due to some areas experiencing moderate drought conditions prior to the several days of rainfall, some shore towns are being hindered by flooding. In Avalon, major roads like Ocean Drive were impassable.
Coastal flood advisories were posted early Friday for high tides along the shore. And several events, including the Olde Time Italian Festival in Wildwood were canceled due to the wet and windy weather.
