Video: Camden County to Receive More Police Officers Thanks to Federal Grant

CAMDEN, N.J. – Thanks to grant funding, Camden County will have new police officers on the street.
Congressman Donald Norcross has announced a $1,875,000 federal grant from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services(COPS) to hire 15 new officers for the county. The addition of these officers is part of the COPS Office hiring program.
Camden County's award is part of a nearly $120 million COPS grant program awarded to 184 law enforcement agencies nationwide. The funds will help those agencies create, and in some cases protect, more than 900 positions.
