This Week's Children's Progran at the Cumberland County Library

The theme for this week’s children’s program at the Cumberland County Library is “Safety 911.”
On Wednesday, January 21st the preschool group begins at 10:30 with the featured story, “Big Fire Engine,” by Kay Barnes. Afterwards, children will play with toy fire trucks and talk about 911 emergencies. Children will be able to take home their fire trucks and a dot-to-dot coloring sheet that shows them how to dial 911 for help.
Also on Wednesday, first through fifth graders will be meeting at 4 pm to create a safety journal. Children will spend the program filling out the journal with information they need in an emergency situation.
On Saturday, January 24, the preschool group will meet at 10 am for music, games, and a finger puppet production. Then at 11:30 am, children in grades first through fifth will participate in parachute play, freeze dance, and a homemade trivia game.
Each program lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cumberland County Library is located at 800 East Commerce Streeet (Rt. 49) in Bridgeton.
