Program to Provide Free Cell Phones to Low-Income Residents

SafeLink, a program that provides free cell phones and cell phone usage to low-income residents, will be accepting new qualified applicants at the Millville Public Library on Monday, January 26th.
Qualified participants must have an income that is at or below 135% of the federal Poverty Guidelines, or participate in Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, LIHEAP, the National School Lunch Program’s Free Lunch Program, or other assistance programs in the state.
No registration is required but interested persons should bring photo ID, proof of address, income information, a Social Security award letter, Families First card, Social Services benefit information concerning medicaid and food stamps. The program registration runs from 1 to 3p m.
