Maurice River Music's 2015 Concert Season is Here

Cellist Kevin High and Palisades Virtuosi pianist Ron Levy will open Maurice River Music’s 2015 season of salon concerts. The concert will be on Sunday, January 18th, at 2:30 pm at a residence in the Mauricetown, NJ area.
High and Levy will perform Sergei Prokofiev’s Cello Sonata in C major, Op. 119, one of his greatest chamber works, composed in 1949 for the great cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. Levy will perform Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons, Op. 37b, a set of twelve character pieces for piano representing the months of the year. He will also perform Alexander Scriabin’s Prelude and Nocturne for the Left Hand, Op. 9, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the composer’s death.
Since 1985, Levy has been associated with the Manchester Music Festival in Vermont, of which he is currently a faculty and Board member. Levy has taught at numerous colleges, including Kean University, Montclair University, and the Ridgewood Conservatory. His recordings are available on the Albany, Centaur, Eroica, Koch International, MMF, and High Point labels.
