Actor to Portray War Hero at Whitman Elementary

History comes to life as war hero "Ned Hector" will visit fifth grade students at Whitman Elementary School on Friday, January 16th for five private class assemblies. Hector is played by actor Noah Lewis, who will transport students back to the Revolutionary War era as he gives a historical dramatization of his life and times.
Hector was one among three to five thousand free men of color who fought for the American side during the revolution. Hector was acclaimed for his efforts in the Battle of Brandywine and Battle of Germantown.
After Lewis gives his presentation, he will take questions from students in each class. His visit is being paid for thanks to the Whitman Home & School Council.
