Cumberland Health Department Schedules Pill Distribution

The distribution of Potassium Iodide tablets to replace any that may have expired, will take place on Thursday, January 22nd from 4 to 7 pm at the Morris Goodwin Elementary School in Greenwich. Keeping Potassium Iodide pills at the ready is important for those living within the ten mile radius of the nuclear station as they help to prevent radioactivity from being absorbed into the body in the instance of a leak or other occurrence. The pills are only to be taken if instructed by health officials.
